Tomorrow is our LAST Pedal Day

As we approach the end of Le Tour de Couch Potato (one more pedal day), we are adding 10 more potatoes the the “official” ranks. Congratulations to our newest spuds crossing the finish line. Spuddles with 107.75 miles tells us “Riding to my favorite cafe always makes a ride special!” CFNo Spud has his first magnet as he crossed the line with 105.0 miles. Mohs Potatoes is coming in right behind him with 104.9 miles and a new magnet. Last of the Potatoes did a final ride up and down Gulf Blvd to finish with 102.87 miles. Frappin’ Spud checks in with 101.6 miles, just edging out Baked Potato at 101.59 miles. Both have new magnets for their fridge!

How to Train Your Tater is giving us a very simple, but emphatic “DONE!” and 100.7 miles to wrap up Le Tour. Simmering Spud crossed the century mark to become official with 100.46 miles. Harley Taterson’s 100.4 miles finished up with “That did it! Into Paris on the single speed 1964 Moulton Stowaway!!” Spudnik got in those 100.0 miles just in time since he’s “Going out of town today but woke up early to complete the tour!! Thanks for this it was a lot of fun! Hurrah potatoes!!”

Potato Happenings

Before we take a look at who we need to cheer on tomorrow, here’s our other Potato Happenings that were reported from some of our official taters that are still stomping on the pedals.

Bandit Yam – Started at 0615 to beat the rain but the rain won and soaked this Yam🤣. Yam Kronen – Accompanying Frappin’ Spud so she wont be a Dud Spud! Nashed Potato – I finally got good luck on the weather so I went for 100k, and had a beautiful morning on the bike! Thanks for the inspiration! Fry Like an Eagle – Probably my final ride for this year’s event. Thanks MT for making this so much fun every year! Wolfpack Potato – Managed to get in one more ride before this epic event comes to a close. Early morning was beautiful with temp about 70 degrees. Wildlife was also happy for the break in the heat as I saw lots of deer, foxes and groundhogs as I pedaled the neighborhoods on McLean, VA. Many thanks to Madam Tuber and Duchess Potato for getting me off the couch again this year!

The ones to watch!! In our final pedal day, if you know these taters, get them out there – some are less than 10 miles from that finish line and we don’t want any DUD Spuds.

Administrivia

Remember pedaling stops tomorrow at 11:59 PM ET. All miles need to be entered by 11:59 PM ET on July 22. Please verify your miles at the link below prior to the end of Le Tour!

Our potatoes have pedaled 21709.45 miles toward that 30,000 mile goal (only 8290.055 to go). Do you think we can get 25,000? 41 spuds didn’t get off the couch so we’ll assume they’re going to be DUD Spuds.
