Day 11: Serious Pedal Stomping

Day 11 brings with it 11 new potatoes who made it official! We also crossed the 11K miles pedaled today. Serendipitous? We have a total of 43 official taters. There are 147 taters off the couch – one more than yesterday. That still leaves us with 68 potential DUD SPUDS.

Buckle Up! Our finishers today include: Pump up the Yam – 128.6 miles, Yes Ma’am Yam – 115 miles, Simmering Spud – 114.7 miles, Potato Prez – 114.7 miles, Yam Kronen – 113.6 miles, Phrier Phil – 105.4 miles, Phrier Di – 105.2 miles, Backpack Potato – 105 miles, Pedaler McPotato, 104.7 miles, Spud Funk – 103.4 miles, Miller Lite Spud – 103.0 miles, Fry Like an Eagle – 101.8 miles, and Bandit Yam – 100.4 miles. WHEW, I hope I got everyone and congratulations to all. Be sure to check out the Hall of Fame to see how many magnets our potatoes have earned: Hall of Fame

Check out Phrier Phil and Phrier Di emulating Pogacar and Vingegaard below.

Pedaling by the numbers today is going to keep backing down the list and call out those in the 60 mile range. And there is a group of them – 17 to be exact. These are the potatoes that will likely finish over the coming weekend. Yours truly (Madam Tuber) is just under 70 miles with 69.3. Chasing me down are Frappin’ Spud, Betty Crocker Tater and Castro Tato with 68.8, 68.6, and 68.0 miles respectively. Spudly doesn’t have much to catch up either – 67.9 miles. Commissioner Potato, Disorderly Tater, and Dre Tater are using each other for drafting help – they all have 66.3 miles. La Nuova Patata is just out of their slip stream at 66.2 miles. Having been dropped on the mountain but still predicted to finish are Dr. Potato Head with 65 miles, New Potato with 62.9 miles, Tuberville with 62.56 miles, Harley Taterson with 62.0 miles, and CycoTater with 61.5 miles. Just over the 60 mile mark are Star Crossed Spud with 60.8 miles and Nashed Potato at 60.0 miles exactly.
