Day 7: It’s National French Fry Day

Day 7 and we have 13 official potatoes, 132 pedaling potatoes, and about 6600 miles pedaled.

Four more potatoes crossed the century mark today. Congratulations go out to: Frying Nun with 106.5 miles, Nip it in the Spud with 105.2 miles and a 6th magnet, Marshmallow Fluff Potato with 103.3 miles, and just over the finish at 100.6 miles is Mythical Patata (if this year is like the others, she isn’t done).

With 83 potatoes still on the couch, who will get to pedaling this weekend? Hopefully more of us (I need to get my butt on the bike too – but I’m off the couch!!)

Pedaling by the numbers will start tomorrow. I could be calling YOU out 😀

Here’s what y’all had to say about your rides:

Chip-n-Dale-The Challenges We Face (Stories of Service) : Ride through the Catskill Mountains along the Hudson River.

Curried potatoes-Our weather forecast today is being labeled a “sweat fest”. So happy to be riding indoors.

Kathryn – the – Great Tator-A tough ride. Perhaps because it was the second long ride in a row or maybe thanks to the biting black flies. Today they keep buzzing around my helmet vents making me worry they’d go for my scalp. Didn’t happen.

Miller Lite Spud-I’m car free so all of my commuting is via bike 🙂

Bud Spud-Quick peloton ride to get some miles in

Mythical Patata-Rode with Spud Cool on the Western Maryland rail trail dodging squirrels- earned my magnet!!

Tom Tater-Early ride, was nice and cool compared to yesterday when it hit 100

Tuber or Not Tuber-Three words: sore sits bone

Nip it in the Spud-6th tour. Magnetize me.
