Day 8 and we’re up to 15 official potatoes, 136 pedaling potatoes, and just over 8000 miles pedaled.
Crossing the finish line today and earning their magnet are: Katherine-the Great Tater and Tuber or Not Tuber – both finishing with 101.1 miles. Congrats to you both! A sneak peak shows me at least two more that are finishing tomorrow. Keep pedaling. Be sure to check out the Hall of Fame to see how many magnets our potatoes have earned: Hall of Fame
We got more potatoes off the couch today. With a week gone, if you know a couch tater, help them along.
Pedaling by the numbers today is going to take a look at our spuds hanging in the 90 mile range. Look for them to cross the finish line in the next couple of days. We have 7 potatoes with less than 10 miles to ride for their magnet. Pump Up the Yam reports in at 97.3 miles. Last of the Potatoes is NOT last with 95.5 miles. Just behind her is Spud Funk with 95.15 miles. And just about to over take him is Yes Ma’am Yam with 95.0 miles. Toni the Spud is a tenth of a mile back with 94.9 miles. Wrapping up this group is Golly D Tater and Christmas Potato, both with 92.4 miles. Who in this group will be the next to wrap it up? I’m sure some will tomorrow as our weekend rides continue.
Here’s what y’all had to say about your rides:
Spudly-I finally got off the couch-adjacent Peloton and logged some outdoor miles!
Betty Crocker Tater-Cycling today with Russet Rhodes in Spin Class!
Chip-n-Dale-More of the Stories of Service with Everything We Get To Do and Climb Your Mountain rides.
Pomme Souflees-Enjoyed the Ashkalon Trail with friends
Harley Taterson-Today was the great Bikes and Beers Bike Tour on Kent Island, Maryland! Beautiful 85 degrees on the Cross Island Trail. I might have been the only yellow Couch Potato Jersey in the tour 🙂
Toni the Spud-Great ride with Milby Crisps and 10 other Wabbits in Williamsburg.
Kathryn – the – Great Tater-Phew! Nous avons fini le travail. Bring on the champagne.
Castro Tato-Trying to beat the heat on an early ride, but angle of rising sun was blinding
Phrier Phil-Another smokeless day. We still had to get up early to beat the heat. Prediction is for 104 degrees!
Pump Up the Yam-I had hoped that Green Eggs & Yam, Buck-a-Spud and Potato on LeVine would pull me across the 100 mile line on our ride this morning. Alas, rain shortened it. But very close…
Tuber or Not Tuber-Merci beaucoup, Madam Tuber, for creating and managing a fun and healthy idea. And a special thank you to Potato Chip Rock and his spouse Penny sans-potatomanteau who told us of your group.
Green Eggs & Yam-Joined up with a few of the northern neck budding spuds for a little while.
