Closing in to the finish of another tour – picture attached and more “taters” wrapping up their miles. Still watching & waiting for Madam Tuber’s big finish!
We added EIGHT potatoes to our list of finishers today: Commen-Tater, Bar Fry, Grape Tater, Star-Spudded, Tubin’ Tuber, Dr. Potato Head, Yamazing, Tuberski
Couch Potato Commentary:
Grape Tater – Done! Bike for sale. Lightly used: just over 100 miles per year.
Wolfpack Potato – Went out early for a quick 10-miler, hoping to see lots of animal friends….the deer seemed unimpressed by my morning motivation. I’m chipping away at my 100 miles…and will be there by Sunday!
Bar Fry – What a way to finish up this year. Riding with fellow Potatoes, Mann I Feel Like A Potato and Fry Me To The Moon! Got to watch deer sprinting across the golf course and huge wild turkey manning the neighborhood. Congratulations to all Potatoes!
Potabella – 13 mph headwind but trying to beat the heat warnings starting tomorrow. Got to that 100 goal. Yaaaaayyy!!!
Mela Tater – I think i can. I think i can
Salt Life Yam – Halfway there! YAHOO!
Seafaring Spud – Knocked off a 30+ mile ride on the Washington & Old Dominion trail, along the original rail line. Rode from McLean VA through Vienna, Teston and Herndon. Lots of history from the Civil War along with deer families, rabbits, red tail hawks.
Chip-n-Dale – Manawainui Gulch Interval Ride today.
How to Train Your Tater – Beautiful Idaho day for a ride
Sweet Tater Carol – So happy to have hit my hundred miles but I just keep on peddling!
Fry like an Eagle – A quick lunch break.
Mann I feel like a Potato – Nice morning ride with fellow spuds — Fry Me to the Moon and I celebrated Bar Fry’s 100th mile, including a wild turkey sighting (the bird, not the whiskey!)
Who is Close??

In France – the rested riders are back in their seats:
Valentin Paret Peintre triumphed on Mont Ventoux to become the first home rider to win a stage at this year’s Tour de France while Tadej Pogačar consolidated his overall lead.
Paret Peintre finished just ahead of former leader Ben Healy in a sprint for the line at the top of the famed mountain known as the “Beast of Provence.”
