Tater Tot is over the century mark with 104.8 miles while Spuddles checks in with 101.6 miles. Yamyscira is pedaling away on vacation and has accumulated 100.9 miles and another magnet. Also finishing up today is Spidey Spud with 100.5 miles and SpuderLee with 100.3 miles.

Congratulations to the latest magnet earners. You all contributed to getting us over the 24,000 mile mark.

That will bring our total official taters to 125 with an additional . We have 86 potatoes still pedaling away but not yet crossed the century mark – I know some will make it but how many? Fifty seven potatoes remain on the couch, one less than yesterday. They are in jeopardy of becoming DUD SPUDS with only 4 pedal days remaining.

Potato Happenings:

A quiet bunch today. Potato Prez is reporting a flat ride from OC to Bethany and back but everyone else is pretty quiet out there. Just looking for the century mark if they aren’t already there.

Our pic today is paying tribute to all of our indoor cycling the potatoes are doing this year. Pedal anyway you can to get those miles in – so far, we’re over 23,000 of them.

Let’s add 9 new official potatoes to our list today:

Robert Tuberson is finished with a new magnet with 114 miles and only a mile behind is Rocky Potato with 113 miles (and lots of hills).

Super Chipski has also crossed the century mark with 104.6 miles. Pump up the Yam has a new magnet with 103.4 miles and Fauling for a Spud is hot on his trail with 103.2 miles.

Uprooted Potato is done with 100.5 miles and only a tenth behind is Gator Bait Tater with 100.4 miles. Also just over the line is Blu Tuberry at 100.1 miles while Potato Loco hit 100 miles exactly.

Happy Birthday today to Tri Potato – I’ll just say she didn’t have time to ride 49 miles.

Cajun Gator Tater rode the exact same mileage two days in a row. With 6 miles, he’ll need to throw in another 3 tenths and earn a magnet.

Pig-Pen Potato is getting a late start – two rides in but up to 40 miles already. With that kind of average, he’ll have a magnet for sure. Keep it up!

The pedaling continues fast and furious as potatoes everywhere are scrambling to get those miles in before the end of the day Sunday. We have 11 more who made it official today – magnets all around!

Tot Diggity is the farthest over the line today of all our new potatoes with 112.9 miles. Later Tater crossed the finish line as well and earned a magnet with 110 miles.

Loly Pop is happy each day of her riding and now has 106.6 miles and a new magnet. Manntater is hot on her trail 106 miles even.

We called it yesterday but to make it official, CompuTater is over the century mark with 105 miles – and other potato witnesses.

Potato Sticks has another magnet this year, finishing up at 101.7 miles while Gravi-Tater is chasing her down with 101 miles.

Home Fries saw that shout out yesterday and sprinted to magnet number 11, checking in with 101 miles.

Melatater and Haus of Spuds are crossing the finish line together with 100.6 miles. Bananayama is the 11th tater we’ll shout out today coming in with 100.3 miles.

Congratulations to all our potatoes who made it official today.

We’re over 22,300 miles today with 111 official taters. We’ve still got 210 potatoes pedaling and 58 potatoes on the couch with only 6 pedaling days left.

Potato Happenings:

The “leaders” battle is still going between Decapotato and Swisher Sweet Potato but Swisher Sweet has now taken the lead by about 7 miles. This one could go down to the wire but they are both closing in on 550 miles.

Bubba Spud is slowly closing in on magnet 12 with 13 miles to go now. Working on magnet number 10 are Mama Spud at 85.4 miles and Rocky Potato at 97.1 miles. So close – y’all got this!

Tri Potato is off her taper from her ocean swim race yesterday (3rd in her age group) and back to pedaling. CycoTater is on the road as well, racing groundhogs. She tracked it until he headed off to his burrow.

Never sure where you’ll find potatoes these days, but willingly boiling themselves?

As our weekend draws to a close, we celebrate four more official couch potatoes, bringing our total to 101.

Bandit Yam has another magnet as he checks in with 117.5 miles. Also earning another magnet with 109.5 miles is 50 in 50 Potato. Potato Cake is also over the century mark with 103 miles and hitting 100 miles exactly is Tattie Tater.

Congratulations to all our latest century cyclists.

We’re over 21,500 miles as of today with 210 potatoes pedaling. 58 potatoes are still on the couch with 7 days of pedaling left.

There are 109 potatoes who have started pedaling but aren’t yet over the line. Sending MAJOR cheers your way as you wrap this up. Take your remaining miles and divide by 7 – target that many miles per day…you got this!

Bubba Spud is only 17 miles from magnet 12 and Home Fries is only 9 miles from magnet number 11. If you see these two potatoes, send them positive thoughts as they finish out for these milestones. I’m checking in on those who are looking for magnet number 10 in tomorrow’s update!

Potato Happenings:

Later Tater had a fun and fan-Tater-tastic time. Le Tour helped motivate her back to her bike after Covid. Thanks fellow taters, from Later Tater.

Yogatato, Spudly, CycoTater and CompuTater were all out pedaling together. They had a non-tater along for the ride as well (maybe next year?). They all watched CompuTater turn into an official tater at mile 12 (we didn’t get CompuTater’s miles in time to make it official today but look for that tomorrow).

Fry Like an Eagle and Oh-Kay Tuber (I think) are touring the Great Dismal Swamp – not dismal at all. It’s reported as very pretty but you must watch for bears.

Microchip is finding the hills easier today – nice surprise for her!

Madam Tuber partied a little too much tonight so the update will be short but we cannot shortchange our potatoes who made it official today.

Nine potatoes earned their magnets today, crossing the century mark. Leading the pack is Yogatato with 106.5 miles. Baked Potato is right behind her with 106.1 miles. Blooming Spud has another magnet to her credit with 103.1 miles.

Shout out to Countess Tater to pedals just about everywhere these days (including to the Salty Dog) – she’s got 102.9 miles. Maraschino Potato is over the finish line with 101.7 miles (the kids will be proud). Zappa Patata is done with 101 miles exactly.

Spud Luda is just finished with 100.7 miles and Even Stephen Spud is also in the 100 mile mark with 100.4 miles.

Hitting 100 miles exactly for magnet number 11 is Texas Potato – he should have ridden the first year with us 🙂

With only one day into the weekend, we’re already over the 20K mile mark with 20,405 miles. We have 96 potatoes who have made it official with 209 who are pedaling.

As this crazy group of pedaling potatoes make their way into the third weekend of Le Tour, we’re celebrating another 11potatoes who made it official today. Check out the O’Shaughnessy beer fridge above if you want to see some magnet goodness as well.

Crossing the line today:

New Potato finished up with 111.9 miles and what is becoming a TdCP tradition on the W&OD starting at Purcellville terminus and Magnolia’s for lunch.

Got Tot? has 108.5 miles as of today – and a magnet on the way.

Tot Louie celebrated his 108.2 miles today – using the TdCP as his motivator.

Chipper Jones crossed the century mark with 108.1 miles and La Nuova Patata hot on her heals with 107.9 miles.

Cash in Your Chips cashed in today with 104.7 miles, just ahead of Artful Tuber and her 104.5 miles.

Potato Jam has another magnet for the beer fridge after pedaling 104 miles while Yamma Rae finished up with 102.1 miles.

Nip it in the Spud, Golly D Tater and Christmas Potato are all finishing today with 101.1 miles. I’m guessing Golly D and Christmas rode together. Nip It has an extra .01.

We’re up to a total of 86 official potatoes with 18,875 miles pedaled. With the weekend coming, I’m sure we’ll see 20,000 miles, much like Lubbock, in the rear view mirror.

And what’s with the 60 potatoes on the couch? Not a mile pedaled for any of them?

Potato Happenings:

Erin Loves Spuds is our inspiration as we go into the weekend. Her husband helped map out a new ride near Mt. Wachusett in Massachusetts. They live in an area with quite a bit of hills, which is awesome and also intimidating. Having dealt with lots of setbacks physically since having 3 kids, today was one of her proudest cycling moments. She knows she has it in her to do even more. Happy Friday Taters from Erin! – half way there, go Erin.

Potato Chip Rock rode in Spain, then France, then Italy – three grand tours, one day, reverse order.

Loly Pop is happy to be pedaling, whether out on the road or indoors on the trainer. Pedaling away. Incognito Potato was out on a beautiful morning ride as well.

Once again, we have a plethora of potatoes over the finish line. Today there are 9 potatoes who made it official.

Yamirez is finished up with 125.5 miles. Fat Tire Tater had less than a mile to go for a couple days and got over the finish line today with 109.5 miles. Rain or Shine Tater is all done for another year (but I bet he’ll log more miles) with 106.4 miles. Simmering Spud is also finished up – she’s got 104.3 miles.

Yam Kronen has another magnet this year with 103.3 miles and just behind her is Star-Spudded who finished one day prior to her personal goal with 102.8 miles. Coming in hot is Iron Tater with 102.4 miles. Commissioner Potato and Disorderly Tater (lots of lawlessness there) are both finished with 102 miles.

It looks like our total miles today is just shy of 17,700 and we now have 75 official potatoes. 207 are off the couch, leaving 61 still lounging.

Potatoes are crossing the finish line at a rapid rate again today. We have 11 more today who made it official, bringing our total to 66.

Yes Ma’am Yam is leading today’s pack of potato finishers with 123.5 miles. Spud Funk has another magnet to his credit at 110.9 miles. Casey at the Bat Potato is also over the line with 109.9 miles while Waked Potato is only a couple miles back with 107.6 miles.

Spudly crossed the tater bridge with 107.2 miles on a beautiful ride along Virginia’s Capital Trail with Tot Louie (who is really close!).

Tot Yam is happy to have made it official today after clocking 106 miles and Tom Tater has 105.3 miles to his credit.

Oh-Kay Tuber gave a big Woo Hoo as she reached 100 miles, 102.5 miles to be exact. Hot on her heals is Tater Malla at 102.2 miles.

Surfin’ Spud hit the road for a quick sunrise ride before work to earn a magnet with 100.5 miles. Potato Prez clocked 100.3 miles while watching the boys in France. I won’t give the rest of his update “spoiler alert”. But no protesters like yesterday.

Our mileage count is over 16,500 today and we still have 206 pedaling potatoes, 66 of them are now official!

Green Eggs & Yam was more pin cushion than potato today. Stung by a bee on the hand, wasp on the chest and horse fly on the back. Could it be the deodorant?

We have a heated competition for Top Mileage. Decapitato & Swisher Sweet Potato are neck and neck, back and forth. Both are over 400 miles – who will win?

That’s right – the 12th edition of Le Tour de Couch Potato is half way done. You should be at least 50 miles into your pedaling. We have 12 potatoes who blew past that half-way point and made it official today.

Green Eggs & Yam crossed the century mark today with 143.6 miles. Buck-A-Spud is also finished with 121.6 miles. The Spudster has another magnet with 121 miles. Three potatoes made it to the finish line with 115 miles: Rico Suave Potato, Pro Potato and You Say Hurtado, I Say Potato. Jungle Spud has 106 miles and reports he’s headed back to the couch. Campbell’s Soup Potato earned her first magnet with 104.8 miles and Chilli Cheese Fries finished up with 103.9 miles. Just touching the finish line is Tati Yam with 100 miles exactly.

Two of our three potatoes that have finished every tour crossed the finish line today. Duchess Potato is over the line with 105.4 miles and your truly, Madam Tuber, is done with 104.4 miles. We’ll see if Bubba Spud can make it as well.

We blew past 15,000 miles today with 206 pedaling potatoes, 55 of them official! Bring on the magnets.

Fauling for a Spud was on the Peloton but saw a deer in the yard so was able to imagine being outside.

Tot Louie (with the accent in honor of the boys in France) is loving the early AM rides. Also outside and stopping for duck crossing is Tri Potato. Swisher Sweets Potato was out with the deer – several of them – and the biker chicks (lots of wildlife, it seems).

Spudly Beach Bum took a ride with her niece – or was it a ride for the margarita and banging shrimp? I bet the niece was just a good excuse.

Eleven days in and 12 more potatoes make it official. Spud Cool leads today’s pack of official potatoes with 127 miles. Only a mile back, but over the finish line is Tater Excellency with 126 miles. Tombet Tater is checking in with 115.1 miles and a new magnet. Almighty Spud and Drunk Spud finishing together with 113.5 miles each. Bud Spud is over the line again with 110.2 miles. Winning Spud has another magnet with 109.4 miles. Swan Song Spud is also over the century mark today with 108.9 miles and Irish Spud is done with 107.6 miles. Fo’Fanna Potato is officially a couch potato today with 104.6 miles and Small Potatoes is done with 103.5 miles. Rounding out this group is Sewin’ Spuds, over the finish line with 103 miles.

Today we reached another milestone in Le Tour as well – we now have over 200 pedaling potatoes: 201 to be exact. Those 201 potatoes have put in over 13,900 miles in eleven days. Hopefully everyone who started will finish. We have NO Mashed Potatoes to report but we do have 68 potatoes still on the couch – what are you waiting for?

Oh-Kay Tuber was out for an early morning ride with her hubby – a great start to the day while Rain or Shine Tater took a ride a lunch time. Dinner anyone?

Fat Tire Tater got to dodge a fox that nonchalantly crossed the street right in front of him. Said fox stopped to check him out and then when about his business. Potato Cake didn’t have a fox but was dodging deer instead – yesterday two adults and today momma and two babies.

Harley Taterson is rippin’ on the clip ons – glad he’s staying upright while doing it!

Last of the Potatoes took her ride into town to buy Wine Crawl tickets – I need to some of that!

Erin Loves Spuds was worried she was too far behind after vacation but it ready to “keep Spudding along” to get that magnet.
